Looking After Yourself
Being able to look after yourself can help you to stay independent, but by doing things like keeping your feet in good condition, you can also reduce the risk of falls. As you get older, or if you have a health condition that affects your mobility, everyday things like getting dressed in the morning might become more difficult. Or, without a regular routine, you may forget to take your medication, or plan your meal times.
In this section, we’ve put together some handy information on things you can do to make these day-to-day tasks easier for yourself:
-
Personal care - including getting washed, dressed and taking care of your eyes and feet.
-
Shopping - to help you get food and other essential items.
-
