A quick guide to the Early Help Assessment

Please use this link to view our Accessibility Statement If you require any of our current Early Help products (September 2021 onwards) as produced from this time onwards, in a more accessible format, then please do email us: jeff.burns@manchester.gov.uk or Anthony.gilfillan@manchester.gov.uk

From the 28th September, 2015 the Early Help Assessment (EHA) HAS REPLACED Manchester’s Common Assessment Framework (MCAF). Practical guidance on completing an EHA can be found in the attached guide on this page.

The Early Help Assessment has been redesigned to make it easier to use. The NEW Early Help Assessment and NEW Early Help Assessment Guidance Notes and How to Reigster can be downloaded by following the links at the bottom of this page.

We are still responding to Requests for Early Help Support, however due to safety measures such as the need for social distancing and keeping families and workers safe, there may be some changes as to how we contact families and share information as part of a multi agency response. We may take a little bit longer to get back to you regarding your request. We will however deal with all requests and prioritise, on the basis of level of need.
