Veterans & Armed Forces Toolkit

Lots of work is taking place across Greater Manchester which is enabled by the introduction and commitment to a Community Covenant.  A Community Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local Armed Forces community, which is defined as serving personnel, veterans and their families.  The aim is to encourage communities to support their local service community, and vice versa.

Local Authorities are encouraged to raise awareness of local services provided by the council, partners and the voluntary sector in the city.  We hope you find this Toolkit useful - please feel free to tell us what's missing or how we could further improve it using the feedback form.

With your support, we can continue to make this a great resource for Veterans and Armed Forces.

As well as the services for Veterans & Armed Forces, please also view other areas of the Help & Support Manchester directory to find support in the following areas that can affect veterans:

Health & Wellbeing - Including Mental Health.

Adult Social Care - Including Homes & Housing.

Work & Money - Including Support to Employment.

Children & Families - Including looking for Childcare.
