Veterans and Armed Forces Toolkit

Welcome to this dedicated area of 'Help and Support Manchester', for Veterans and Armed Forces.

Lots of work is taking place across Greater Manchester which is enabled by the introduction and commitment to a Community Covenant. A Community Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local Armed Forces community, which is defined as serving personnel, veterans and their families. The aim is to encourage communities to support their local service community, and vice versa.

Local Authorities are encouraged to raise awareness of local services provided by the council, partners and the voluntary sector in the city. We hope you find this Toolkit useful - please feel free to tell us what's missing or how we could further improve it using the feedback form.

With your support, we can continue to make this a great resource for Veterans and Armed Forces.

As well as the services for Veterans and Armed Forces, please also view other areas of the Help and Support Manchester directory to find support in the following areas that can affect veterans:

Health and Wellbeing - Including Mental Health.

Adult Social Care - Including Homes and Housing.

Work and Money - Including Support to Employment.

Children and Families - Including looking for Childcare.

Or view all services featured in the Veterans and Armed Forces Toolkit.
