Are you eligible for free Childcare for your two-year old?

Many children aged two can have 15 hours free early learning a week at a day nursery, playgroup or with a childminder. Early Learning in a childcare setting helps children with their development and to gain confidence, ready for when they start school.

By completing an application below you can quickly check whether your child is eligible for Free Early Learning.  It takes only a few minutes and you'll get an answer straight away.  If you are eligible then you will receive a voucher. This should be taken to any childcare provider who is registered to provide Free Early Learning.

Please note, this check is based on economic criteria only. To check you meet this criteria please click here. If you would like to check eligibility for children who are looked after, SEN or children who have left care through special guardianship or adoption, please contact the Free Entitlement Team on ey-free.entitlement@manchester.gov.uk

If you are claiming Universal Credit you will need to take in paper evidence e.g a letter or bank statement to your childcare provider to confirm eligibility. The online checker will not show eligibility for Universal Credit.

If you require any assistance, either during, or after the application, please contact your local Children's Centre for advice Search for your local Children's Centre.
