Into Apprenticeships - From Disability Rights UK

This guide sits alongside our well-known publication Into Higher Education, which encourages people with a disability, health condition or learning difficulty to go to university.

Although successive governments have been investing in skills development, the proportion of disabled apprentices actually fell between 2006 and 2010 (from 11% to 8%). Changes in the delivery of careers advice also mean that up-to-date resources to support disabled people’s decision-making about options after leaving school are in short supply.
