Tiddlywinks 2nd Nursery in North Manchester is located in Higher Blackley Children’s Centre and is carrying on the tradition of providing high quality, child centred day care for children aged from 4 months up to school age.
The nursery is registered with OFSTED to provide day care for 72 children between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm and aims to provide a high quality child care service in a warm, safe and enabling environment.
We have a 24 place room for our 2 year old children who are on the 15 funded hours. The children take part in a wide range of activities and have continuous outdoor provision.
Additionally we have a 24 place Out of School Club (TOOSC) and Holiday Club for children aged from 3 to 11 years.. We run a collection service from EACT the local school.
We are a high quality and graded Ofsted "Outstanding" setting where the children learn and develop in an inclusive, stimulating, caring environment. Our aim is to support each child on their learning journey during their time at Tiddlywinks.
All children are supported in developing their full potential at their own pace. Our keycarer system enables us to ensure a planned curriculum tailored to the needs of an individual child. By means of developmentally appropriate play activities and a high level of staff we meet the Learning and Development
Our environments are designed to be stimulating, encourage the children to explore, take calculated risks and provide them with time and space to consolidate their learning. The indoor and outdoor environment is challenging and exciting and our planning takes into account children’s interests and enhancements are added each week to support their learning and development.
All rooms have continuous outdoor provision, that is accessed on a daily basis. Our new outdoor area was completed in September 2015.
We endeavour to make each child’s time in our nursery a very happy and enjoyable one and are always on hand to speak to parents/carers if they have any worries, concerns or need some advice.
Our enthusiastic staff team will encourage the children’s increasing independence and self image through their knowledge of the individual children in their key group and provision of an appropriate routine and activities to meet their individual needs.
