Hyde Leisure Pool (Days Out and Activities for Disabled Children and their Families)

A pool with a difference! Hyde Leisure pool is a large swimming pool with lots of extras like a bubble area, geysers, water jets and water cannons. At the side of the pool is a lazy river (an open topped tunnel area of fast moving water that tugs you along) and for those who dare there is the Red Ripster water slide (a minimum height requirement of 1 Metre applies).

The pool also has a wave machine which is turned on for five minute blasts making waves throughout the whole pool – but there are warnings before this happens should you want to exit the pool during the wave feature. The pool starts shallow and goes to a deep end and is therefore also accessible for smaller children or those not too confident in the water. This is an ideal pool for children who enjoy a more active, varied and exciting swimming experience

Child Admission Policy For Hyde Leisure Pool: Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 years or over at all times in the ratio of 2 to 1. Children under 5 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 years or over in the ratio of 1 to 1. Any non swimmers or weak swimmers despite their age will be required to stay in the shallow end of the pool. Every swimmers ability and admission into deep water is our leisure attendants and managements discretion.
