Saheli Asian Womens Project
Saheli Asian Women’s Project provides advice, information and support services to Asian women and their children fleeing domestic abuse and forced marriages. We are based in Manchester.
Saheli gives Asian women a chance to get away from violent domestic situations by providing an environment which is safe, culturally familiar and which helps them come to a decision of their own. It can be either a one-off reconciliation or coming to terms with being a single parent and living independently. We provide a range of services:
- Refuge and Resettlement Service
- Hosla Women’s Outreach project
- Forced Marriages Service
- Children’s Outreach Project
- Volunteers and Training Service
If you are an Asian woman with or without children and you are experiencing or have experience domestic abuse and would like some support, you may call us in confidence. All our staff can speak English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
