MACC: Manchester Local Voluntary and Community Sector Support Organisation

Manchester Community Central Logo

MACC's role is to help improve health and care services. They do this by working with the voluntary sector to develop new ways of meeting people's needs. They encourage statutory agencies (such as Social Services and the local NHS) to learn from and make use of the experience of the local voluntary sector, challenging the assumptions the sectors often make about each other.

MACC runs a number of themed development programmes. In addition, they have a broader role to support to challenge inequalities and promote engagement of communities and service users in the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of services.
