Chinese Health Information Centre

Aims to provide a unique, professional and quality service to local Chinese and South East Asian Communities in the areas of health and social wellbeing, recognising their sensitivities in the different cultures, and providing access to information appropriately. Free services include a branch surgery provided by 4 Chinese speaking GPs for health advice and referrals; drop-in service; group activities (Chinese women's health activities and elderly people's activities) such as weekly exercise and relaxation groups; medical terminology class; regular massage course for Chinese women; telephone health advice and interpreting service; hospital service; community health education and promotion; community networking and health-link, and a monthly Chinese diabetes drop-in and support for parents of children with Special needs, especially Autism.
