Manchester Parent Carer Forum
Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is an independent group of parents and carers that works to represent the 'voice' of parents & carers of children & young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Manchester. The Forum works in partnership with the Local Authority, Education, Health, Social Services and other providers in order to improve and develop SEND provision in Manchester. Co-production and partnership working creates a culture that ensures families are at the heart of policy that affects them; where parent-carers are involved and treated as equal partners at different levels (strategic or operational), throughout the process (start to finish). MPCF can also act as a source of information and informal advice for parents & carers, and holds a number of parent-carer workshops and family events for its members throughout the year.
