Benchill Community Centre

Benchill Community Centre offers a range of community and leisure activities and has strong links with further education providers.

There are the following facilities:

IT Suite

First floor IT Suite which is fully air conditioned and user friendly consisting of 14 computers with internet access and an on-site IT support tutor packages.

Community Room

The community room facilities are available on the ground floor of the new building and include a bar (un-stocked), DJ booth and soon to be erected cyber cafe.  This is a multi-purpose room is presently being used for youth provision, meetings, dance groups, parenting courses and our Community Cafe.

Conference Room

The centre has a large purpose built conference room with comfortable seating, a kitchen and buffet facilities.  Modern projection equipment, TV/video/DVD players and flipcharts are available for use.  The conference suite is complemented by in-house IT facilities when required.  The room can also be divided into two separate meeting rooms.

Sensory Suite

Is open to all local residents and groups who wish to use it (small charge applies).  The facility uses the latest technology to provide children and young people with a number of sensory stimulants, including light, sound, a heated water bed and aromatherapy.  The room can be enjoyed by all ages for relaxation and therapeutic purposes.

Art & Design Room

The centre has an Ofsted registered purpose built multi-use art & design studio with ample storage and non slip floors.

Astro Pitch

The centre has a full sized, fully floodlit Astro Pitch, with a 'new' style playing surface. This can be hired out to anyone.
