Tax Help for Older People
Tax Help for Older People is a service from the registered charity Tax Volunteers. We provide free, expert tax advice for older people (approaching 60 or older) on lower annual incomes (roughly less than £20,000). Contact our national Helpline for caring and friendly help with personal tax issues. Our advice is confidential, independent and jargon-free. If your tax query is a simple one, we can help you with it on the phone, or by post or email. For more complex issues, we can arrange a face-to-face meeting with one of our local volunteer tax advisers. Face-to-face appointments are by arrangement and generally held at your local Age UK, Citizens Advice or other community organisations. If needed, we also offer home visits. If you are caring for an eligible older person, you may also request help on their behalf and you do not need power of attorney to do this.
