Ring and Ride Manchester
What is Ring and Ride?
Ring and Ride provides a door-to-door, accessible minibus service for people of all ages, including children, who find it very difficult to use ordinary public transport. The Ring and Ride service operates throughout Greater Manchester.
Where can it take me?
Ring and Ride is designed to make short, local journeys of up to 6 miles helping you to travel to work, school or further education college; attend health appointments and take part in social and leisure activities. Trips over 6 miles to hospital, nearest town centre or accessible transport facility will be considered.
Registering for the Service and Booking a Journey
Before you can book a journey with Ring and Ride, you must contact your local depot, who will advise you if you are eligible to use the service. If you are eligible, registration is simple, quick and free of charge. If you have difficulties using a phone, you can register in writing by completing a registration form, which you should then return to Ring and Ride Bookings at the address shown.
From 1 April 2014, journeys must be booked via the Call Centre which is open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Journeys can be booked from seven days in advance up to one hour before you are making the journey. If you want a return journey, please remember to book it at the same time. Please let the advisor know if you have a wheelchair, pushchair or child's car seat so that room can be made available on the minibus.
Visit the Ring and Ride website for further details, including costs.
