Back on Track

Back on Track provides easy access training, education, work experience opportunities and personalised guidance for adults 18+ facing barriers to education and employment. We work with four target groups: offenders / ex-offenders, those recovering from substance misuse, those who have been homeless or in unstable accommodation and adults recovering from long term mental ill-health problems. All our services are supported by fully trained staff and volunteers.

- Referral Details
We take referrals from a range of agencies such as Probation, Community Mental health teams and hostels. However we also take self-referrals. All new service users must have an enrolment interview before registering on courses and activities. These can be arranged by phoning reception and booking a time. Support workers can also attend the interview if needed.
We also run a drop-in afternoon every Tuesday afternoon 1-3pm which is open to staff, visitors and potential service users. Come along for a chat, brew and a biscuit! It is sometimes possible to have an initial interview straightaway - these are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
- Other notes
Service users must have one or more of the following four target needs:
Offending background
Substance misuse
Homelessness / living in unstable accommodation
Long term mental ill-health
