Family Housing has a commitment to meeting the housing needs of older people by providing good quality, specially designed housing. In our sheltered housing properties, we have created an environment which has at its heart a commitment to provide independence of the individual. The scheme enables people 45 and over to live a good quality life and hopefully have a home for life. Keeley Close is situated in a quiet location, has two floors (no lift) and comprises of studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom flats. All studio flats are fully carpeted. The Scheme currently provides 24 hour staff cover. Each day the Scheme Manager will call each resident via an intercom to ensure all is alright. Should a resident become ill a personal visit will be made to ensure their needs are being supported by the appropriate agency. Any services required will be advocted by the Manager. A Welfare Rights Officer is available for assisting residents with any benefits queries they may have. All flats are let through Manchester's Housing Register, application forms can be collected from Manchester City Council or from the Scheme Manager's Office at Keeley Close. Cats and dogs are not permitted at this Scheme. There are no communal facilites at Keeley Close i.e. no communal lounge (although a regular coffee morning is held in the lounge at the Scheme Managers Office every week), also there are no communal laundry facilities.
