Children and Young People’s Physiotherapy Service

The citywide service provides physiotherapy assessment and treatment to children from birth to 18 with neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal conditions (or up to 19 years if the young person attends a Manchester Special School and has a significant learning disability).
The service is delivered by paediatric physiotherapists who are specialist children’s therapists, with training and expertise in the assessment and management of complex neurodevelopmental disability, neuromuscular disorders and childhood musculoskeletal conditions. The team works closely with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide holistic, child and family centred care.
