Young Carers Support at Beaver Road Primary School
We will work to support and identify our young carers attending our school
We will work towards gaining a young carer in school award
We will hold whole school assemblies to raise awareness of young carers.
We will send letters home to parents to let them know about the support available at school.
We will offer coffee mornings for parents and carers.
Young carers can access our breakfast club.
We offer nurture sessions for young carers.
We offer drop ins to allow young carers to spend time with each other.
Young carers can access our after school clubs.
We will work closely with our Early Help Hubs and offer Early Help Assessments.
We will use tools to support the Young Carer Early Help assessment.
We will invite services and support into our school who will work with our young carers.
We will link closely with our feeder schools and their young carer champions to ensure smooth transitions.
