Crumpsall Park

Crumpsall Park offers a green oasis in a densely populated area and is a focal point for the community. Crumpsall Park is located in the Crumpsall Ward, an area facing the significant challenge of high deprivation.

The park has successfully achieved a Green Flag Award since in 2005 for meeting the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales.

The park is used by residents, local schools and patients from the hospital on the east park boundary for playing, dog walking, cycling and hosting events, including the annual Crumpsall Carnival. The park stages community fun-days in the summer, cycle races and summer sport activities for children.

The Friends of Crumpsall Park (based in the park building), Crumpsall Park Day Care and Sports Development actively work with Leisure Services to improve and promote the site.
