Birch Community Centre Preschool

Birch Community Centre offers a preschool service to local families Monday-Friday in term time.

High quality play and learning activities led by an Early Years Professional are designed to support children become strong, healthy, skilful communicators and competent learners.  Free entitlement places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds available.

Facilities

Every morning children can choose from a wide range of activities indoors and outdoors including sand and water play, sensory and investigative activities, role play and small world play, physical play with large equipment and bikes, storytelling and music.  The Preschool has a secure outdoor garden.  We organise visits to the Library, Museums and Art Galleries, and themed based trips e.g. Sea Life and Reddish Vale Farm, and we arrange forest school actitivies in our local park.

The Preschool works in collaboration with the Speech and Language Therapy service, Rhosey/Rodney House and the Winnicott Centre to support children with additional needs and to ensure that all requirements necessary for Education Health and Care plans are in progress before a child's transition to school.
