Ofsted Registered Childminder
My name is Emma and I'm a mother of two boys aged 6 and 4 years old. I live and work in the area of Blackley, North Manchester. I have experience caring for newborns, both my own boys and in a professional capacity. For any age of child I have everything they could need, a huge selection of toys, books and activities, and plenty of space to play both in and outdoors.
Children will be welcomed into a warm and homely environment, where they have ample space to play, do homework, rest and undertake craft activities. I have a large open plan living room/dining area, with a soft carpeted area and a laminate floor area. There is a children's table and chairs for meals, and a large dining table for craft activities.
I have a large separate conservatory dedicated to play and learning. This is a light and airy space where children will find a large variety of toys, treasure baskets, books and a cosy area to sit and read, all with a stunning view of the garden and woods. Children are encouraged to use all downstairs areas, allowing them to play together with friends or find a more private area to play or read.
The conservatory opens onto a large flagged patio area, securely fenced and gated, allowing the children to explore water and sand play, planting and ride on toys in all weathers. I also have a large lawned garden area with lots of space to run, play ball games, outdoor toys and slides and room to explore the flower beds. The garden is fully enclosed and more private than an average back garden as the house backs onto Bailey's Wood.
I have experience with allergies and intolerances and am happy to cater for all allergies/intolerances or special diets.
I regularly attend local toddler groups including messy play. Children will have outdoor play including sand and water every day (except in cases of very bad weather), either in the garden or local parks. I am fortunate to be just across the road from Boggart Hole Clough which offers a playground, large sandpit, duck pond, cycling activities, and plenty of opportunity for nature walks and exploring.
Children will have a daily diary for parents to take home along with a Learning Journey to track their development and observations while they are in my care.
My hours of work are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. If your required needs fall outside of these times please contact me as we may be able to come to an arrangement.
Before and after school care, including drop off and pick up, is available for Crosslee Community Primary School, Blackley.
