Foundation Years Nursery

Foundation Years Nurseries provides care for children aged 0-5 years. We also offer a holiday club for children aged 5-8 years in the school holidays. We are passionate about giving children the best possible start in life and as such, our staff have been chosen for their many years of experience caring for children accross a wide range of environments and their caring nature. We place great importance on encouraging children's independence skills through the use of resources that they can access independently. Outdoor play is an important part of our day and as such, we encourage children to play out and experience all weathers through our 'all weather clothing'. We provide children with open access to the outdoors where they can explore and investigate through the use of binocculars and magnifying glasses. The nursery environment is warm and welcoming and children have access to resources such as painting, water and sand play as well as mark making, role play and construction. We provide a range of natural objects for children to feel explore such as pebbles, fir cones and carboard boxes. We are in the process of making a mud kitchen outdoors where children can mix soil and water to make mud pies. We provide healthy fresh meals and snacks which is prepared on site by our wonderful and very experienced cook. Children are given the chance to bake cakes with the cook, for example, helping to make their own birthday cake for all to enjoy.
