The Stroke Association - Stroke Recovery Service for Manchester including Stroke Cafes
If you have had a stroke or have been affected by a stroke in any way, you may have many questions about what has happened and what is likely to happen in the future. You may be looking for information about stroke, practical advice and support, or simply someone to talk to. Staff at our Stroke Helpline can answer any questions you have, listen to your concerns and help to reassure you.
We can help explain what causes stroke, give you practical advice about how to manage after a stroke and tell you what steps you can take to prevent a stroke happening again. We can tell you about local services and stroke clubs, and help you find other support services in your area. Please note: the Stroke Helpline cannot provide medical advice, detailed benefits advice or recommendations about individual stroke services or about private health care providers.
