Starfish School of Swimming

Group Lessons

Starfish offers tuition for children from birth upwards. We specilise in water confidence, learning through play and stroke efficiency. We have small classes and until the children are competent swimmers all teachers are in the water with the children enabling them to trust the teacher and gain confidence. All our teachers are passionate, caring, enthusiastic and energetic meaning children are motivated to achieve and given the all important confidence to swim independently.

Starfish are proud that they are one of the very few swimming schools in the North West of England qualified to specialise in children with additional needs and disabilities. Our instructors have also completed a 'sign along' qualifcation and a foundation introduction in British sign language. We have also undergone intensive specialised training in how to teach children and young adults with additional needs and disabilities.

We have a diverse, energetic and creative approach to these lessons as past experience has taught us it is the best way.
