Broughton House Veteran Care Village is the only dedicated veteran care home in the North West of England. We provide accommodation, care and support for ex-service men and women who have served in the British Armed Forces or the Merchant Navy. We also provide accommodation, care and support to their spouses, civil partners and dependents of personnel serving in the Armed Forces.
We understand that each veteran has different needs that may vary, dependent on their age and the degree of care and support they require. Therefore, we provide a variety of different services to try and offer the best assistance possible, this includes dietary requirements, physiotherapy, chiropody, specialist gym equipment (suitable for the elderly), person-centered medical care and counselling and welfare support.
Broughton House offers four types of care, consisting of; nursing care, residential care, residential dementia care and respite care. In the nursing care facility a qualified nurse, as well as other trained care staff, is on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the safety of our veterans and each resident will have their own individualised care plan. The residential care facility is for those who only require some support to live independently within a safe environment. We have weekly GP reviews, with a doctor regularly in attendance. And last but not least, our respite care offers families a safe environment for their loved ones to enjoy whilst they recharge their batteries and take a much needed break.
All bedrooms within the nursing and residential care units are equipped with an ensuite shower room and mechanical bed for support.
If there are vacancies within Broughton House, the Charity trustees can admit persons who are in need of care and support who would benefit from the camaraderie, culture and ethos. Choosing a home can be a daunting experience, if you or a loved one within the veteran community could benefit from our help, please don't hesitate to give us a call or check out our website for further information.
