The Christie Day Nursery

The nursery offers an extensive range of high quality educational toys and  sensory equipment within our play rooms.  We have weekly physical activity sessions provided by Activetots and Manchester City in The Community programme. We also have French sessions where children are introduced to basic French through songs and games and a weekly music session with a qualified music teacher. We have also introduced a weekly computer coding lesson the children learn about coding using a coderpiller and ipads. The nursery has excellant links with a local primary school and the older children visit the school once a week to help to support their transistion to school.

The Christie Day Nursery has been established for 40 years and provides excellent professional care in a warm and friendly environment, where all children are loved and nurtured, giving them the opportunity to develop and achieve their full potential.
The nursery staff team are all qualified at NVQ level 3 and above, with many years experience in the early years sector, and have worked at the Christie nursery between 7 and 36 years.  The nursery has completed the National Day Nursery Association Quality Award and has consistently achieved the rating of ‘good’ from it’s OFSTED inspections.  The nursery has an excellent reputation and many children come into the nursery by recommendation from current or past users.

Although the nursery belongs to the Christie Hospital  and priorty is given to Christie Hospital staff places are available to partener agencies of the Christie and other families in the local community. The nursery operates a waiting list.
