Young Carers Support at Co-op Belle Vue

  • We are a Young Carer friendly school.
  • We will work closely with our feeder schools in order to provide a smooth transition.
  • We will work closely with outside agencies to provide our students and families with the best support.
  • We listen to our Young Carers having strength based conversations to ensure we are meeting their needs.
  • We offer a free breakfast to our students.
  • We loan a chromebook to each of our young carers free of charge for the duration of their time with us.
  • We will offer a range of trips and extracurricular activities for our Young Carers that they choose themselves.
  • We will offer free music lessons to our Young Carers.
  • We will meet weekly with our Young Carers and have an open door policy if they have concerns or need to share their feelings.
  • We will offer every Young Carer and their family an EHA or support through a Social Worker using the MACA and PANOC.
  • We will invite Professionals into school to support and work with our Young Carers and to meet their individual needs.
  • We offer a range of support to both young people and other members of their family
