Volunteers needed for the Moss Side Power House Community Garden.

We are working to ensure a sustainable and accessible organic garden for the local community to learn how to grow edible and non edible plants from seed and cuttings and enjoy all the benefits of Gardening to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing by introducing different visual, fragrant and touch stimulations gained from plants while learning new skills.

All this will help people through the current and ongoing cost of living crisis and introduce them to the importance of environmental habits such as carbon capture, having bio-diversity and repurposing food waste to make free organic nutrients for plants.

One of the end goals is to give people the skills, confidence and support to take their new skills and use them in their gardens, indoor growing environment and outdoor surrounding community spaces.

We really need your help to kick start the programme – please consider giving us a few hours of your time to help move soil and prepare the ground, from planter building and jet washing to sorting out pots or planting our early seeds!  If you can spare a few hours, half or even a full day we will really appreciate your support!

What better way to start the new year than giving a good deed of your time that will have a long and lasting positive impact on the Moss Side Community.
