Oakwood Psychology Services
Oakwood Psychology Services provides a range of therapies and professional services to students, therapists and allied professionals. We also conduct and collaborate in counselling research.
We care for adults, children and families. We provide CBT, person-centred and solution-focussed therapy; EMDR; and dramatherapy and creative therapy. We also offer psychoeducational group work and self-help groups.

We also provide the NHS Community Eating Disorder service for Stockport (SK1 – SK8) which is accessed by GP or consultant referral only.
We operate out of our head office in Stockport, as well a second location which is accessible. We also have a clinic in Manchester City Centre for private clients on Wednesday evenings.
For those people seeking support or group therapy workshops, we provide a number of group therapy courses throughout the year that focus on specific areas such as self esteem, bpdy image, anxiety, depression and emotional eating. There is a small fee for these groups and you can find out more about the courses we offer at https://www.oakwoodhouse.co.uk/group-counselling/. We also provide a free monthly family support group called Cherish which is for parents, carers, friends or family of those who have eating disorders or weight distress. This group is a drop in and runs the first Wednesday of every month from 6-7pm, unless otherwise specified. Small car park to rear, easily accessed from the M60 and minutes' walk from Davenport rail station.
There is an additional accessible clinic at Walthew House in Shaw Heath, appointments available through ringing the main office. We also operate a Manchester City Centre clinic for private clients on Wednesday evenings.
