Venture Arts

Venture Arts Logo

For over 20 years Venture Arts has been providing a positive space in which learning disabled people make great art and play a valued role in the region’s vibrant and diverse culture. Our unique artistic programme includes a wide variety of artist-led projects, and we showcase the work of artists in large collaborative exhibitions in some of the region’s most prestigious arts venues.

Being a part of Venture Arts enriches people’s lives not only through the learning and participation but also through giving people new cultural experiences: seeing the work of other artists, participating in exhibitions, visiting and working in museums and galleries, making great art and collaborating with others.

Our Studio and Artistic Programme

Our fully accessible art studio is based in Hulme, close to Manchester city centre. The studio has a fun, welcoming and social atmosphere and is a stimulating place to learn and perfect artistic talents.

Open 6 days a week, we offer inclusive, professional arts projects in photography, illustration, ceramics, 3D, textiles, animation, film, printmaking, mixed media and more.

Our programme is developed and led by professional artists, for all abilities and interests.

We aim to give each participant new and progressive experiences of art and the creative process. Using the latest software and equipment also allows artists with learning disabilities to develop professional technical artistic skills.
